FAQ
A soccer academy is a specialized training program designed to develop young soccer players. These programs provide high-quality training, coaching, and support to help players reach their full potential.
The use of the term "football" instead of "soccer" is a matter of regional preference and tradition. In many countries, particularly those outside of the United States, the term "football" is commonly used to refer to the sport played with a round ball and goalposts. This terminology has a long history, with the sport known as "association football" or simply "football" in these regions for over a century. On the other hand, in the United States, the sport is commonly referred to as "soccer" to avoid confusion with American football. Ultimately, both terms refer to the same sport and the choice of terminology is a matter of personal preference and regional tradition. In AFC, we choose to use the term football.
Eligibility for joining the academy typically varies by age. We accept players as young as 4 years old.
Our goal is to provide young athletes with the highest level of coaching and training, in a positive and supportive environment. We aim to develop technically and tactically proficient players who possess the physical, mental, and character attributes required to succeed at the highest level of the game. Additionally, we strive to promote the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of the game.
Training at the academy typically includes both on-field and off-field components. On-field training may focus on technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical fitness, while off-field training may include sports psychology, nutrition, and injury prevention.
The fees for joining the academy vary by program. We aim to offer affordable options for families. Monthly fees depend on the specific program, and additional costs may include uniforms, travel, and competition fees. Scholarships are available for players who demonstrate financial need.
